About Me
My name is Reginald Elliott Graham Gill (REGG for short).
I was born on September 18th 1963 on the beautiful Caribbean island of Barbados. As a child I travelled the world with my parents and my five siblings as my father worked in the oil industry and therefore, we moved to wherever the work was.
When I was fifteen, we returned to Barbados where I finished my schooling. In 1981 at the age of seventeen I met the love of my life Charmaine. Five years later we were married and are still very happily married.
I have always had an interest in art. It was my favourite subject in school, but I had to put it on the back burner for many years as I built my future work wise.
In 2008, a dear friend of mine got me into art classes with Indrani Whittingham and that was the beginning of my renewed passion for art.
Over the years I learnt so much with Indrani and enjoyed every moment of painting with new found friends at her home on Tuesday evenings.
I have done several workshops with Ariel Lyons and Heidi Berger where I learnt new and interesting techniques for creating works of art, along with an acrylic workshop with Kathy Alkins.
In mid 2015, I joined a Friday evening art class with Tracy Williams from The Art Hub from whom I have also learnt a lot and hope that it shows in my art.
I have shown my paintings at The Gallery of Caribbean Art with Indrani's new comer's art group, with Tracy's art group as well as a show with two friends called 'Friends in Colour' in November 2017. I have also shown at Art Splash with Ariel Lyons and Heidi Berger and with various artist and also at the gallery in Pelican Village.
I love art of any kind and one day hope to have my paintings hanging in art lovers homes all over the world.
